The practice undertakes works to residential properties that are either of historical interest, contain traditional timber framing or provide an opportunity for an exciting contemporary addition.

Numerous new houses and substantial extensions have been designed, often using local vernacular materials or traditional timber framing (see timber frame projects). Drawings can be undertaken by hand, in order to provide images that complement the nature of the designs and their settings. In addition, CAD facilities are used for technical drawings or, where appropriate, for design work.
